While we strive to honor your selected grooming style, all grooming services are subject to the condition of your dog’s coat and overall health at the time of the appointment. Certain styles may require additional time and cost.
Matting, skin issues, behavioral challenges or other health concerns may require adjustments to the requested style to prioritize the safety/comfort of both your pet and our team. Final grooming decisions are made at the discretion of your TidyDog groomer.
Puppy Cut
A simple, uniform cut all over the body with no extreme shaping—great for pet Shih Tzus rather than show dogs.
Summer Cut
A simple, low-maintenance trim with an even, short length over the body to keep your Shih Tzu cool in warm weather. The face is lightly shaped for cleanliness and visibility, the ears are trimmed but often left slightly fuller for a soft look, and the tail is neatened while maintaining its natural plume.
Chewbacca Cut
The Chewbacca Cut keeps a fuller, fluffier coat all over, with special emphasis on a thick, rounded face and longer facial hair for that signature “loyal sidekick” look. Perfect for brown or darker-coated Shih Tzus, this style offers a playful, shaggy appearance without going extremely short.
